When you say you looked under the car, did you remove the under bumper panel as the tow bar ironwork will be there just missing the ball arm which would normally be located under your boot (trunk) cover by the spare wheel. |

I removed the central plastic panel to check. It appears that just the original bar is in place - there's certainly no circular/vertical receptacle, and nothing in the trunk or wheel well |

USA/CAN vehicles don’t use the same towing system as Europe. You don’t need to remove a panel on the bumper. You either have the square hole factory tow hitch for inserting a ball adapter or you don’t.

The European setup is much neater. I guess the feeling at LR must be Americans would find it too much effort to undo 4 plastic lugs and to then stow the panel. |

No, it more likely has to do with the hitch requirements for the weight load.

My car is the same as in the posted video, that I have watched a couple of times before. I'd need a slightly different part number i think.
