I agree with your reply but I won’t be paying it. It will be interesting to see if it’s the camera that’s causing the error msg. From what I have read on here and other sources it seems mostly to do with the radar sensors at the rear of the vehicle. I know the camera is a 5 minute job but doesn’t the bumper have to be pulled and cameras recalibrated surely that going to take some time. I’ve only had the vehicle a week so a newbie on this l405 . Apparently the only other fault on the diag was some kind of module for the mist sensor located at the rear view mirror but he cleared the fault . I’ve never heard of a mist sensor 🤷♂️ |

I've changed many front bumper cameras without having to remove the bumper cover - once you know, you know. There is a misting sensor used to control the screen air vent and the auto heated screen, tbh, that sounds a very low number of DTC's, most L405's have a handful of intermittent, non-critical DTC's sprinkled across various systems. The front cameras don't require calibration, they're only for viewing, not doing. |

Revisiting the reverse traffic sensor issue - not sure if my code reader (Autel MaxiAP 200) isn’t going deep enough, but the only two codes showing are U0046-87 (Instrument cluster control module, Vehicle communication bus C) and U0001-87 (Image processing control module A, High speed CAN communication bus). Both are permanent and will not clear.

Entirely from memory, yes - you can confirm by unplugging the other side which should then throw a 'B' DTC |

Great, thank you - looks like a replacement module needed. |

Check the connector for water ingress & power supply first - an unresponsive module could be because it has no power (or not enough voltage) to it. Also check the ground connection. |

There is some minor damage (small dent on the edge of the sensor face), from the inner bumper moulding squashing it - will check, thanks. |

The housing may be damaged - and the emitter/receiver may well be out of alignment but that shouldn't prevent communication.
