Iโd be tempted to go into the secret 753 menu and look to see what the voltage is with the engine running, just to rule out alternator problems. 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family ๐

Is your no start symptom, a tiny click when start button pushed, and the display going blank? -over and over again? And radio and headlights all ok? |

ok, so this symptom has been very popular on the 4.4 l322 diesel. the starter trigger wire has a high resistance joint somewhere in the route from the fuse box to the starter motor. many have simply replaced the starter motor, which sort of gives a fix, but it just makes it easier to spin it up, so the trigger wire fault is not as apparent.... as with a tired starter.

Thanks for this mate will have a read, I've tried putting the battery that I replaced on charge with a trickle charger and it's showing 40% which is making me think something has drained it |

my alternator died once, right outside my house ....fortunately, it went out in style, with copious smoke and dash bongs galore. but it took the battery out too. by the time i got the terminal off, it had about 9 volts... it was lucky it didnt burst open. the issue with the starter, was with a perfect seeming battery, at around 12.65 volts. |

11.9v is less than 40% charged, a Lead Acid Battery should not be discharged below 50% (12.05v) BMW i3 Electric Car 2012 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 (now gone) 2006 VW Touareg 3.0 TDi V6 |
