Pull the trim off, take it out and give it a clean with a little brush. They get clogged with dust and fluff over time. Kev

Would anybody be able to point to the area in the workshop manual that details accessing this sensor? I am suspecting that I may well need to replace mine due to this error that I posted yesterday?

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly. I meant so that I could see any diagrams in the WM to be sure of the correct part and that I am looking at the right one. |

Before I go and spend the best part of £60 for a replacement part could anybody suggest any way that I could test this part now that I have removed it just to confirm it is a failed part and not something electrical with the car? _______________________________________________

Out of interest should this little fan be spinning all the time when you start the car or are there specific conditions for when it is supposed to be spinning? i.e. do you have to have the aircon on or be over a specific temperature? I have read all of the sections I can in the WM and the one thing I cant find are details of what constitutes normal operational conditions, only fault scenarios. _______________________________________________

So it turns out that this little fan is supposed to be spinning all the time and, despite a thorough cleaning, I could not get mine to work again so managed to find a brand new genuine replacement for £47 and fitted it today, all sorted and thanks for your help guys. |
