It was only after buying my RR in 2019 did I soon discover that any tool in 3/8 form is worthless (snapped countless bits) and only 1/2 will stand the test of time. Also purchased a MAPP gas torch (much hotter flame than reg gas torch) and Plus Gas (dismantling fluid).

You could try using the weight of the car. Jack the front wheel up, take the wheel off, put your socket and breaker bar on the offending bolt with the end of the breaker bar on a piece of timber on the ground and then release the jack a couple of inches.

Ok, have tried heat, soaking in fluid, prolonged tension on the bolt, all to no avail. The bolt head is now well rounded, so conventional methods wont work now I think. My options are, weld a socket to the bolt, the additional heat may help. Or grind the head off the bolt. This latter would entail removing the caliper, carrier and disc as one unit, then drilling out the remains of the bolts. does this sound feasible? |

Think I'd take the whole hub off and take it to a lorry garage and ask them to use their 3/4inch rattle gun on it... |

This is a shame but I do think you should have (and should) invested in a decent impact wrench and sockets. Another must for an L322. Impact wrenches work wonders at knocking stuck bolts un-done (although all of the above methods are also needed too).

Must admit I agree with the above - I have a 3/8 Milwaukee stubby impact wrench and it’s been invaluable and with it being so small and powerful it can get behind discs/suspension arms/fiddly bits etc 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8 |

Heat the head up with a gas torch so it's softens, hammer on a 1/2 socket that's slightly smaller (maybe imperial) and then run a fully charged impact driver on it. Bolts and nuts seized by corrosion need shock waves to break this bond and not torque load. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

As JayGee said . soften head, hammer on a slightly smaller impact socket, and try an impact gun.

Had the same problem. Tried impact guns etc. Welded on 6 nuts but all broke off. My mate used an arc welder and disparate metal rods to weld a nut on. Big breaker bar and scaffold pole released the bolt. I was amazed that the threads in the caliper were intact.
