Suspension problem

Hi all, i have had a few suspension faults lately so i recallibrated my suspension earlier. After bringing back to normal height my measurements are as per photo. Do you think my height sensor is faulty.

They are not measurements they are just values, they don't mean anything...... It tells you about them in the Gap IID manual... Thumbs Up Pete

Thank you. Just strange the value is not similar to the others.

What faults caused you to need to calibrate it? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Vehicle would lower onto bump stops, warning would say max 30 mph. Then front of veh would lower when parked then lift immediately after starting again.
I have recently fitted two new BWI front struts an had no faults for a few months until now.
Car has run perfectly today with no issues.

If a height sensor was faulty or improperly calibrated it would drop overnight as the car tried to self level itself. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

No matter what diagnostic system you used, to me I would think that all height sensors should give similar values when the car is at at a steady level height.

Also I am assuming that the 'Gallery air pressure' means the air pressure in the reservoir itself ?
If so then your pressure shows about 44 psi in old money or roughly 3 bar, AFAIK when the compressor cuts out the air reservoir should be at around 180 psi or 12 bar.

If the car immediately rises back to normal upon start up, it suggests that you have the correct air pressure in the reservoir at those times. But it looks possible that when you took the readings the system air pressure could have been on the low side. IF that is the air reservoir pressure.

Besides a height sensor fault that could cause the car to lower itself as it levels out when not in use ( ie parked, engine off ), despite recently fitting new struts you could still have a leak on the system, put the car into off road height and inspect for any possible leaks and inspect the height sensors - But remember to take safety precautions such as axle stands etc, in case the car drops whilst it is being inspected.

Best way is to pay a friendly garage a few quid to put it up on a ramp, put in off road height, lift ramp then inspect the car, easy for access and a safe way to inspect the car.

If any of my info is wrong, then I stand to be corrected as there are experts here that know FFRR's a lot better than me Whistle Thumbs Up

From the IID manual...

Different calibration values for each corner are normal – they do NOT need to be set to the
same value! These values represent arbitrary electrical constants relative to the height sensors
mechanical positioning. Correlating these values to the measured height of each corner is part
of the calibration procedure.

@Haylands Thanks for correcting me, I did not know about that aspect of the height sensors, it just seems to defy logic Thumbs Up

Had a go at setting my heights, a few years ago, just before a service. My indy gave me a right telling off.😳 Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)
Galaxy 2001-2007
Mondeo Estate 1997-2001
Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987
