EGR Temp Sensor

Well I thought I would try this after reading the great instructions from GGDR.

I will give full write up on it, and will add it to the post started by GGDR, but I have a question.

All done and sensor back in the engine. I just wanted anyones opinion who has also done this, if it looks seated correctly. It would not wind in any more, but there seems a bit of a gap between nut and engine block.

But after looking at the old nut, the thread does not go all the way to the top, so maybe this is the reason for the gap

Any help is appreciated

Thank you.

Yes, when tightened, it sits slightly proud. I took a photo of before I did the work and can confirm.
