Split boost hoses cause the turbo’s to overspin as the ecu tries to compensate for less than expected boost which will damage them and hence the noise. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Mine did this a while back, whilst a td6 single turbo, i thought it was the turbo on the way out, i checked all the hoses and they looked fine. However one of the vacuum hoses was cracked so i replaced it but noise still there.

Guys thanks for your replies 👍🏻 I think with this one I'll leave it into my local indy specialist and let them give it the once over. I've had to free up stuck actuators and replaced two ruptured intake hoses since I've owned it but as I said, I don't know enough about the turbo system to check or diagnose the problem. Fingers crossed it's a simple fix 🙏🏻 Current collection :
