Thats the same problem I had with the meyle track control arm with the ball joint on the end as it was the ball joint that had failed and had gone stiff which meant it made the steering feel stiffer
When I removed it and put it in the vice it took some force to turn the ball joint as it made a creaking noise and jerked when it moved so I’m going to replace the other side incase that one goes bad as well

Do please also check out Parts in Motion. Free next day delivery and they can be cheaper than AutoDoc sometimes. I've had excellent service from them.

I did sign up and have a look but the only manufacturers I recognised was Quinton Hazell & Delphi for the Arms which were £30 more per arm. Other than them it was either Borg & Beck (no thanks), Apec, Firstline, Napa or NK...

It seems a bit of a lottery at the moment as to whats available, with which supplier and how much. Rolling Eyes Gavin

I put Delphi track rod ends on mine in March so maybe it's these that have gone south as it does feel steering related. I need someone to turn the wheel when I'm under it to hear where the noise is coming from. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

When changing the lower arms remember that the car has to be back on the ground before the bolts are fully torqued up to the recommended setting. (best not to ask how I found that out Whistle) Personally I would always use new bolts, genuine bolts are not expensive. Advice is in the 'Wiki' section somewhere.
