I've got this intermittent issue with the steering column adjustment.

a battery dis-connect usually remedies a lot of electrical problems on the range.. |

Just disconnect the negative, for how long? (May fix my TPMS too!) Discovery 4 HSE

I disconnected the negative terminal that's attaches to the body by the battery, as this looked like the easiest method.

Mine doesnt even move at all!!!! No memory feature. I woud assume this is a standard feature? Also seats have memory but dont "settle" in the default position when ignition is turned off. Is this right??

FWIW I have found the 12 hours thing to be a myth. The main issue is to ensure all modules have no residual charge left in capacitors etc. Best way to achieve this is to disconnect the battery earth lead and then short it to the positive lead for 30 seconds. I actually do this through a standard 21w indicator bulb as it's a little less brutal.
