Makeover for the old girl

Decided to keep my 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4 for a bit longer, as she has just 93k miles and is going well. My local indy, Whites in Edinburgh keeps her well fettled and have just replaced two lower front suspension arms. She has also been machine polished and ceramic coated by my local detailer, Gleam Machine. the only downside to keeping her is that she is Euro 5 compliant and soon will be excluded from many city centres, but I can live with that. Spending £30k or more to upgrade doesn't make much sense to me. 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4

She has been well maintained and all the usual issues have been addressed. Turbo drain mod, Oil cooler leaks, metal brake lines all replaced, Gear box serviced by Mikey of this parish at Dundee at 80k miles. Two new rear shocks, brake rotors and pads replaced several times. Stability control wiring looms on front shocks replaced. Extensive anti corrosion work: Dinitrol cavity wax injected into box sections and sub frames and underside sprayed with Lanoguard, surface rust on rear wheel arches treated, coated with Lanoguard grease and fitted with edge protectors. She should be good for a few more years. 2011 Vogue TDV8 4.4

Lovely example and same situation as me, values for newer ones still seem vastly over inflated.

I have owned over 18 cars in my life from all makes and types, standard, heavily modified, sporty and luxury as well as value models. The L322 is by far and away the best car I’ve ever owned. I still get excited about driving it after 2 years.

Keep it going Thumbs Up
