I think a lot of us on here have had problems and the answer seems to be lubrication, lots of it !

Also when I'm not using it much and perhaps just getting it in and out of the garage I turn them off.

Glad its ok . overfinch modified

Mine isn't a lubrication issue, It works perfectly fine when it works, when it doesn't, it doesn't even attempt to move. When it refuses to move it will sometimes work if you keep pressing unlock, it's a wierd one as the drivers works everytime.

No faults on IID tool, every signal that I can think to check reagarding doors etc are opertional on the IID tool. If it thought there was obsatcle it wouldn't deploy the drivers either I can't find a reason for it not deploy.

1st step was going to be try to deploy it manually using 12v fed into the harness, figured it's cleaner and easier job + it will prove the wiring. Current

This.

Search on here, it’s a very common issue with the DSS’s.
Passenger side usually more affected due to less use. On my MY2017, I have to douse everything in ACF50 a few times a year, (which is messy stuff to have dripping all over your driveway, but seems to work for a good few months), -situation worse in Winter, obvs.

Shame JLR didn’t include a few grease nipple points…… “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
