United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black
[Wanted] Hitachi air suspension compressor

So I'm putting the feelers out for an air compressor for a 2007 RR vogue, it's looking like this is the problem with my suspension fault. I bought a new one off the bay of E. However it only came with a 3 month warranty and according to the garage it's faulty.
So if anyone has a unit for sale please feel free to contact me. Borrowed Grey 2002 3d 204k for a year
Now own a 2007 Java black Vogue SE 3.6TDV8 160k

I believe you can fit an AMK one in its place, you just need to tell the ECU that’s it’s not a Hitachi one that’s fitted.

Might be worth going new as well as you’ve no idea the condition a used one is in or if it’s been working overtime due to a leak on the car it was removed from.

If you cannot return the faulty unit and get your money back ? then it could be worth opening it up to see why it is faulty, it could be something simple, plus 'some' used compressors could only require an overhaul kit which saves money.

No insults intended, but are the garage correct about a 'new' unit being faulty ? Did they make a mistake, just thinking about different possibilities.

As for the old compressor, if when opened up it 'appears' to be in good order you could overhaul the unit cheaply and easyily especially if it is already out of the car. That then leaves you with more money to buy other parts Whistle Thumbs Up
