Homelink version in MY2010?

I've tried several times, but I've had no success getting Homelink in my 2010 RR to work with my garage door opener. After a lil' bit of research I learned my opener (Chamberlain LW5000EV) has Security+ 2.0 which requires Homelink 4.0. To make sure I'm not doing anything wrong with the programming, can anyone confirm the version of Homelink in MY2010?

Hi Bruzer,

I see you've been waiting a LONG time for an answer. And, you'll still be waiting after you read my reply (sorry about that).

I believe I have the same version of HomeLink as you in my 2009 L322 which also does not work with my Chamberlain opener that has Security+ 2.0. So, I believe we both have HomeLink version 3.0 or older Sad . But, I don't know exactly.

The solution for both of us I believe is to either use a remote clipped to our visor or to buy a HomeLink Compatibility Bridge like the LiftMaster 855LM.

It's not expensive but does eliminate the Security+ 2.0 protection.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was someway to upgrade the HomeLink version in the mirror!

Good luck!

theres an old thread on the forum somewhere where this is talked about and the conclusion was that old landrover tech isn't compatable with the newer garage and remote gates.. ... - .- -.

Yes I was frustrated by this when I got my 2012 Westminster last year. It is near impossible to get the Homelink to work with a modern gate system. I think it’s to do with rolling codes.
My solution was to Velcro a gate remote in the sunglasses compartment by the mirror.
Just as good as Homelink!
