Nope doesn't make me feel any better in fairness, it's a comparatively ridiculous amount, should be added to fuel tax to be more fair to lesser road users. RR owner |

Feel it a bit. I returned from living full time in France 18 months ago. In 2017 when I took my 2008 3,6 Tdv8 over there it cost me just over €900 to register in Fŕance. That was it. No annual payment and MoT equivalent every 2 years.

I totally agree with you, if it was added to fuel, tourists and lorries etc would be paying some tax, people that drive more miles would be paying more and people with bigger engines would also pay more. FWIW I also feel that electric cars and hybrids should pay rad tax along with everyone else. In the UK we drive on the left of the road, in Lincolnshire we drive on whats left of the road BMW i3 Electric Car 2012 Full Fat RR 4.4 TDV8 (now gone) 2006 VW Touareg 3.0 TDi V6 |

Mine was only £290 in March, went up to £320 in April, no complaints here. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that? |

It’s disgusting and a joke how older more polluting vehicles pay so much less. It has little to do with emissions or the cost of maintaining our roads (maintenance is probably the wrong word!!!) it’s based on an algorithm than outputs the highest return. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Santorini black ivory leather |

Seeing as most cars are not large SUV's then the majority of total income will be from 'ordinary cars'. This is simple maths and doesn't need a complex and sinister 'algorithm'. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I wonder how government income via motoring figures would change if they were based on a more honest calculation of an individuals road usage ?

At the end of the day the majority of motorists all belong to one club, it's called the CCC.

It always me when RR owners about the costs of running them. They are also not the obvious choice of vehicle for the 'whining leftie' and would seem predominantly owned by those from the opposite end of the political spectrum. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Look at the 'flavour' of it's posts, particularly in this thread, 'whining leftie' seems an apt description. |
