The FBH will only start or run when the temperature is 5 degrees or lower. It is possible that this valve is faulty, but there are also 2 other valves on the heating system which channel hot water from the engine to the heater matrices for driver and passenger heating. It's possible that it's these valves that may be at fault. |

Just registered to add to this thread as it is the only one which really helped me fix my heating issues, when googling my problem.

For anyone looking to replace the crossover valve with a hose T (which I just did to restore cabin heating) it uses 19mm in case you were wondering. I couldn't find it referenced anywhere on the internet. |

Have same problems in this moment with cold heating and want to change Dual valve. Under valve is number 14, water pump. I have issue an my car "B1D27-15 (2F) Coolant pump circuit, General electrical failture - circuit short battery or open". Can it be this pump? So I can change together, which part number is it? Thanks so much Ronny |

Read this thread with interest (and much head scratching). I have no heat in the cabin when engine running, but when cold and the fbh is activated with the remote the cabin heats up nicely. Does this point to an issue with the single solenoid changeover valve, or the dual solenoid valve? Thanks in advance for any pointers. 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Mine looks like it’s seized having not had it on warm air for 10 months so replacing it with a JQD000010 dual control valve next week, pipes all hot to the control but cold coming out so has to be that after a few hours eliminating anything else and there is a YouTube video on the 4.4 tdv8 but mines the other side on a 3.6 like the majority,

Disconnected changeover valve connector and fault code 'auxiliary heater valve open circuit' came up as expected. Connected eBay replacement valve (without fiddling with piping for now) hoping to hear a click from the solenoid when activating the fbh from the remote fob, but nothing to be heard or felt from the solenoid. Fbh fired up as normal and heater fan cut in. If I connect a voltmeter to the connector terminals, assume it should read 12V when the fbh fires up? 2011MY 4.4TDV8 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Changed mine today, fairly easy rook about an hour with a few coffees in between, to undo the 10mm plastic nuts below I put a wire on the 1/4 drive ratchet in case it drops but back to red hot inside again, old unit before I replaced it 😎
