Sorry, i posted and then found the thread so i guess the question is can it cause damage? |

There's a chance it will put excessive load on driveshafts, CV joints, rear propshaft, transfer box and of course, the rear differential itself. I doubt it'll cause any damage as such, but it will accelerate drivetrain wear. |

To nickt68. I typed in "noise from rear end when turning" and it took me to a thread by pherplexed which described what needed to be done and my dealer said it is probably the same fix. FG |

Just an update, had the oil changed and software update and (so far!) seems to have cured the problem. The indy warned me that sometimes the oil needs a second change but will see how it goes..... |

The issue with the rear end noise when turning left or right was the transfer case. The Dealer flushed it twice and then refilled and reprogrammed a module and everything is fine. Not sure was what causing there exact noise but it was troublesome until fixed. |
