Switching Off Adaptive Cruise Control

Not that happy with ACC and was wondering if this can be switched off to allow standard cruise control. Two reasons, firstly have a intermittent fault, Radar Sensor Blocked which disables totally use of cruise control, and secondly find it a bit too sensitive to surrounding traffic.

Unfortunately not. You can reduce the sensitivity using the switch on the left of the steering column but it resets each time you turn the ignition off.

Dunc. The life you have is the only one you'll get; make the most of it.

Have you an IID tool? If so, send Patrick an email asking if the CCF files could be manipulated? Thumbs Up

ACC can be disabled by modifying the CCF. I went in the other direction by enabling ACC after adding the radar module, switches and modifying the CCF.

Sorry to bring an old thread up. Is it possible to code out ACC and just have cruise on the l322? There didn’t seem to be a definitive 100% yes answer. 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

Yes, by removing the fuse for the radar unit and modifying the CCF. During my ACC retrofitI had to temporarily remove it and leaving the radar unit's fuse fitted caused errors as unexpected/unrecognised data.

Thank you for your reply Graham, does it come up with a fault in the central dash when all switch off? 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

No faults will occur provding the ACC parameters in the CCF aren't enabled.

Very helpful thank you Graeme, one more question, I don’t have an id tool. Is this something a Landrover specialists could do? 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

A LR specialist's diagnostic tool may or may not be able to make the necessary changes (a LR dealer's diagnostic tool probably cannot) and the specialist may or may not know which parameters to change. I can look-up what parameters I changed to convert from CC to ACC.

Here are IIDtool screen-shots of what I changed to enable ACC, with some parameter overlap between pictures, so selecting a non-adaptive option for each should do the trick.
