I've snipped this from an image posted on this site of an owner's handbook. It's not showing 934 spec for the 3.6, could this have been updated on the workshop manual since then?

If so then it solves a huge part of the headache I've had trying to get the correct oil spec as few places seem to hold anything that lines up with 921-A

My post, number 3 in this thread, is a screenshot of the workshop manual oil specifications from the WSM in the Wiki, and shows 934. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

Would there be any real benefit in using a DPF-approved oil (e.g., Castrol EDGE 5W-30 C1) over a non-DPF oil (e.g., Castrol Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 A5) in a car that is not equipped with a DPF?

I own a 2011 4.4L TDV8, and it either came out of the factory without one (from what I've read, it's not completely impossible) or it was removed along the way. I'm not sure.

Some or possibly all ROW 4.4 L322s weren't fitted with a DPF. The DPF compatible oils are a compromise so I won't use them, preferring to stick with non-DPF oil.
