I’ve had the MetaTrack on my last 2 RR’s and it’s been good. I’d also recommend considering the Starline i96 as an alternative to the Ghost. Some of the features are better. MY23 D350 HSE

I wouldn't use the Ghost2 app as it uses BT and if you park close to where your phone is, (ie front drive next to house) then the Ghost2 can disable itself, leaving you with no protection. Same as keyless--disable it! 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

That's one of the advantages of the Starline i96 over the Ghost because you can turn down the app range so it only works if you are in the car. MY23 D350 HSE

Just had a smart trak imob 5 fitted to one of my cars, good so far! It uses a credit card sized fob, without the fob, the car won't start plus the added bonus of a tracker. It was about £500 plus £18 a month. Mainly for insurance purposes. I did notice smart trak have some specific land rover products. |

Out of interest what is the distance the smart trak fob can be recognised by the car? I ask because some third-party fobs operate several meters away which makes them similar to how the the keyless system operates and therefore also require a faraday pouch. Others fobs require the user to press a button to avoid this potential risk. MY23 D350 HSE

Can't say 100%, but l have tried starting the car with the fob outside and it won't start. So I would say you have to have the fob in the car for it to start. Would need to have a look at the suppliers website regarding claimed range! |
