United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

Finally got around to having a look at my friends TDV8 today.

Removing the plug from the rail pressure sensor, cleaning it with contact cleaner and refitting it seems to have done the trick on this one thankfully Smile

Hi David! Brilliant!

This one has settled down now, ultimate fix was a new genuine Delphi rail pressure sensor, and I ran an overlay harness from the engine ECU to the sensor with a new harness connector for the sensor. On close inspection, the terminals in the original harness plug to the sensor have gone a bit baggy, though I'm not ruling out a duff wire in the harness as well.

Also managed to trace an intermittent battery drain issue to the passenger side heated seat coming on, even with the ignition off and the car locked Laughing seems to be a duff climate control panel.

Also have unblocked the sunroof drains which were absolutely solid, calibrated and adjusted the sunroof so it closes properly now..........

..........and found a load of welding to do Neutral

Joys of running posh tackle eh? Laughing

Cheers Pete! Can honestly say they were the most horrible turbos I've ever removed in 25 years of spannering! If I had the facilities I'd have dropped the engine out from underneath.

Day off from turbos today. Left hand is pretty much wrapped just the right hand left to do. Time isn't my friend this weekend so thought I'd dip into some other jobs instead.

Noticed when I went to remove the turbos that there wasn't any refrigerant left in the system, rigged the recovery gear up to find an empty A/C system......so thought I'd do a bit of leak hunting.

System pressurised with nitrogen...

One leaking condenser found:

Plodding on slowly when time allows. R/H turbo done:

Thought I'd change the badly stuffed rear prop carrier bearing before I put the exhaust back on:
