Curious situation with the Bluetooth module. I bought a MOST bypass connector and unplugged the Bluetooth module and the radio started behaving itself once again. I pulled the module apart and found absolutely nothing obviously wrong so I put it back together and plugged it all back in. Clearly the radio didn't work but when I unplugged it again and fitted the bypass module the radio refused to play. No idea what happened or why. All rather confusing. |

Sounds like disconnecting both the MOST fibre and copper cable then fitting the MOST bypass is telling the head unit not to bother looking for a BT unit as it's not there. That allows the radio to work.

That doesn’t explain why the bypass worked fine at the first attempt and then failed to work on subsequent attempts. |

With the bluetooth ,module bypassed the only permanent error I'm getting is that the Parking parking sensor control module is missing. After a bit of driving it usually adds the parking brake control module to that list which is rather bizarre as the parking brake continues to work. The latest error is that the DAB unit has a system internal failure.

There is only two optical cables connected to the RSE module, the third that is visible is running behind to the TV tuner.
