Windscreen replacement

So I had a windscreen replaced. 2003 Vogue 4.4.

Since the windscreen replacement it seems the headlights are pointed really low all of the time.

Windscreen company said there is no headlight sensor as such on the windscreen, only a rain sensor, so no calibration or similar required after the replacement. Is that really the case? Headlights are almost useless at the moment. I can’t see 5m infront of me.

does your headlight switch have an 'auto' setting?

if yes then you do have a headlight sensor .. ... - .- -.

The light sensor won't affect the light output, only when they come on. It sounds to me like the headlamps are too low, possibly due to an issue with the AFS. OP, have you tried a battery disconnect/reconnect? it could be that the voltage got a bit low whilst the screen was being fitted and spiked the module when started. Obviously only a guess with no DTC's etc.

Does the L322 have a weight load adjuster wheel, I know some of my others cars have so you can lower the beam when the back is full, wonder if that would be the case here, guessing the Range is far too clever to need something like that? Formerly happymadison1978

BMW electronics fitted at that age will have an integrated rain/light sensor, but that only controls the lights' automatic illumination and extinguishing points. If the lights are physically low it's most likely either the height adjuster is set low, the lights are out of adjustment, or the adjusters in the lamp units themselves have broken. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.
