what goes here???

Morning all,

So I have recently bought a tdv6 3.0 and did the normal look at the engine like I am supposed to know what I am looking for but everything looked perfect and the car runs without any problems. However on getting a start cleaning the car I noticed these tucked away. assume 1 is to do with fuel but no idea where it should connect as there are no places for it to go and also the electrical connectors that where tucked away too.

I have tried to google some pictures of the engine bay to try and figure it out but nothing really helped!!

Please help!! Shocked

Nothing, pretty sure it’s for the fuel heater that’s not fitted in the UK…. Slide it out the way.

Sold mine years ago so can’t double check.

It’s not a V6, it’s an inline 6, so a TD6 not a TDV6.

Hope you enjoy it. Mine was very reliable when I had one.

I’m sure someone with a TD6 they can check will let us know for sure, but I know I had unused cables there.

Mine is exactly the same. As said above, secure it to the side, and forget about it.

I may be wrong, but I think it could be the transmission or front diff breather. In which case it shouldn’t have a cap on the end of it.

The little filter is an air vent for turbo actuator vacuum system. Shouldn't have anything on the end of it.

Nope, the filter should be there on the end of the pipe to stop small animals being sucked in. But looking at your photo it looks like the top connection on the filter has a bit of black pipe on it and may be blocked off? Shouldn't be anything on the top connection of the filter.
