Sorry folks but after advice, MoT failed today because of OSF healamp insecure. Hadn't noticed at all as it sits perfectly flush but if you grip the side and pull it, it is really loose. I have taken a quick loook and the bracket on the top has a crack which allows the top to have a little movement but would be simple to fix with an additional bracket or GRP/Resin repair. The question is what secures the bottom as I can't see as it's below the bumper??

Thanks agin. I found the bottom mounting broken but think it will fix. Time will tell as glued with UHU max power repair and will take 24hrs to fully harden. Top bracket also glued again but I may make some sort of extra bracket for strength on refitting being that it had been repaired before. Hope I can salvage it as the headlights are so expensive on the 2010-12, cheapest on ebay currently £450!! Seen new ones listed at £1200+vat can't seem to find any type of repair kit as you do with some manufacurers headlights. |
