even if you did not disconnect it, when you force the suspension down to give yourself space to get the top of the strut out the small leaver on the sensor can swap sides. Thats exactly what happened to me.

It was a easy fix though....

Tell me which direction the small arm on the sensor is facing . 2003 RR 4.4 only 40k miles (current)
2004 RR 4.4 ( just sold)

I think the first thing you need to do is download the RAVE. Go to the top of the page and click on Wiki. Follow the links and get yourself a RAVE and read up!

I said it before just very recently, working on these cars is not like working on your very own Morris Minor 30 yrs ago. You can kill the nav just by disconnecting the battery. Read first, act second.

Always happy to help a fellow RR owner!

WOW..... 130 miles Shocked . Thats more than generous Dan.

What was the problem?

Also, whats the cost of a gallon of petrol in the UK? Here in canada its about $6.60- for 4 litres of regular 89octane .

The issue was "articulation plausibility error" as Herman had already suggested. Being a hard fault - this is why the EAS didn't pump up. However, after clearing the main fault a soft fault of "compressor temperature static whilst active" was present and un-clearable.

Whilst the message is clear, I'm not sure what would cause this - other than a faulty temperature sensor on the pump?
