Need help with Air Suspension Inactive

I live in Aylesbury and was hoping someone near might be able to help. I need a mobile mechanic to re-activate my Range Rover. I had fitted new Air Suspension Strut and now I need code reset. Bow down Discovery 3.9

You should fine the EAS will pump itself back up, at least to standard height? Then you can drive to your dealer or indy...

If it doesn't, you could try leaving the battery off for a few minutes, then after reconnecting start the car (make sure all the doors are shut for the eas to work). It is possible to change a failed spring on the L322 and not have to take a trip to the stealer. Were there any other issues? Like a damaged height sensor etc?

Sometimes a full lock to the left and a full lock to the right can reset it.... Used to have:
2005 FFRR 4.4 Vogue - BRC LPG Conversion & Remapped

Now have:
2008 SSRR 3.6 TDV8 - HSE and plenty of toys

Thanks for your replies

First the drivers air bag had hole in it,which did not notice until it kept going down one side, compressor kept trying to inflate it, then the lights all went out and "Air Sus Inactive in message, removed old, refit new, tried the lock to lock, but still no joy
I thought it rest itself I have read that the L322 ECU keeps checking every 120 seconds and if had the repair done will re-activate, but I mist be wrong. Discovery 3.9

I have heard that if you disconnect battery leads and then touch them together that this resets computers etc, is this true, and do you think this might help. On my P38 changed all air suspension, after a leaking bag, fitted new and it all fired up ok, no restting. Discovery 3.9

I would just disconnect the battery leads and let it sit over night......

When you reconnect it you should get the "suspension inactive" on the message board.... turning the steering wheel full lock left to right should clear that fault.

I have had to disconnect my battery too many times this year already for other problems.

I have even jacked the truck up to around normal ride hight to try to trick the sensors then I would slowly lower it and let it level itself.... crazy I know Rolling Eyes

Agreed - if it's sat on the bump stops then one of the sensors could have gone "out of range" In theory the plausibility checks should still allow for standard height to be achieved.

Is it up at all, or is it on the bumps?

One thing you want to be sure of and I made this mistake a few months ago when I replaced both my front struts.

I was driving my self crazy trying to figure out what I did wrong on such a simple repair..... all the other air springs were properly aired up except for the brand new unit I just installed. At first I though it was a faulty unit but there was no air leaks so it was not that.

Are you ready for this..... when I went to reinstall the suspension sensor to the control arm, I rotated it by accident about 180degrees ( I dont remember exactly which direction I had my the small arm on the sensor facing, but to give you a idea of what I did.... instead of the small sensor arm facing towards the back the the truck, I had it facing toward the front)

Did you remove the suspension sensor linkage?

Just for fun, undo the sensor link on the control arm and rotate the sensor so that the sensor arm is on the other side.

What side did you replace, I can have a look at my truck to make sure your sensor arm is facing the correct direction 2003 RR 4.4 only 40k miles (current)

No did not remove sensor linkage, The Strut is a Macpherson type made by Delphi, comes in one piece secured at the hub and body of vehicle and the air line connects at the top is the only thing that needed reconnecting, sorry forgot Drivers side (RHD)

Just for fun, undo the sensor link on the control arm and rotate the sensor so that the sensor arm is on the other side.
