My L322 ( 2011 TDV8) has now thrown a wobbly re brake fluid and wont start, I have topped it up but peddle still goes to the floor, I suspect brake pipes, any suggestions ?? Thanks

Failed vacuum pump?

Clear any fault codes, see if it will start. You can diagnose if the pedal goes to the floor and gradually returns over a period of time (with the engine running). After a few presses, the pedal should go to the floor again.

Entirely possible due to age and mileage. If it is, no need to worry, it's not a big job.

If you're losing fluid (should also be visible on the brake hoses and then on your driveway forever), then I'd suspect brake lines, obviously. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

p38arover, as indeed you craftily worked out I am trying to peddle it (see for sale section) nothing to do with the inactive brake PEDAL, my bad

New stuff needs to see brake pressure before it will crank

If you have a leaking pipe, that'll likely be the issue

Just to bump this thread, I gave mine an under-chassis clean earlier in off-road height and then turned on the ignition to drop it to access mode to then wash the car (letting the parking brake off in the process). The depressing lost the brake vacuum and I really had to stamp on the brake pedal very hard before it would allow me to start it later on.

Right in saying the new ones need to register brake pressure before they will start.
