2004 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
4.4 TDV8 catalyst temperature sensor

Hi all looking for some guidance my 2011 4.4 tdv8 has came up with restricted performance fault P042D bank 1 sensor circuit 2 catalyst temperature sensor high input. Could anyone guide me to this sensor please? TIA

as a starter for 10

faults in oxygen sensor
Catalyst temperature sensor harness might be damaged or shorted
poor electrical connection in the catalyst temperature sensor circuit
catalyst temperature sensor fault
exhaust air/fuel mixture incorrect

Could this also be that the temp is actually too high and the sensor is fine? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I did think that. The sensor is the one in between the cat and the DPF so took it on a long run tonight and no fault at all temp went up to 600c on bank 1 sensor 1 & 2 but not the others. Not quite sure how the temperature there would get so high compare to the one before it would understand if sensor 1 was way high due to a blocked cat. Unless the dpf was clogged but not triggering it’s warning light.
