I've long been in the habit of doing my car servicing every 5K miles regardless of what the car says. If the manufacture has special procedures (belts, plugs, etc.) above and beyond I do those at the recommend mileage/time.

You can reset the service warning easily enough at any time with your iid, but I don’t think you can alter the frequency .

What about for BMW based systems. i.e., 2002-2004/5?
But I think 25,000km is too long and want to change the value to 10,000km (max). FYI, I have a GAP IID, T4 (Testbook), and Faultmate MSV. I also have access to a local indie's Autologic. Ron B. Thanks Phoenix. I'm going to my indie's workshop on Tuesday so that info would be useful. I can grab his Autologic.

It seems the service interval can only be changed on 06 onwards, at least with Autologic

Larry, with the bonnet or hood open, the driver's door open, switch the ignition on without starting the car... Put both feet HARD down on the brake and the throttle peddles and wait! 10 seconds or so and you should get a message on the dash saying "resetting service milage" hold down and wait and then it will tell you its "reset service milage" and voila! oil reset completed sir... |

No problem sir… It’s a weird phenomenon that’s worked on Range Rovers for many years… 👍 |
