New Rangey on its way to my house

Just put a deposit on a 2018 AB, 4.4 from Sinclair RR in Ludlow (my first RR having been looking and procrastinating for years).

Very happy with the price and accompanying package, sales guy was most pleasant and willing to negotiate and rectification of all my observations was no problem. I had a conversation with another dealer about possible negotiations on another car and was met with a cold 'that's the price mate, take it or leave it.' I left it and went elsewhere, landing at Sinclair's.

Will update with pictures when it lands and also a review of the dealer as they have been faultless so far. First time FFRR owner

Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan and that you're delighted when it arrives. Look forward to seeing your pictures.

Cheers! 2017 SDV8 Autobiography

Clearly he is one of many that been to the JLR enhanced indoctrination centre for customer care. Rolling with laughter

I recall looking at a Jaguar & during the pregnant pause in conversation I asked the mpg. The reply, if you need to know that then you can’t afford the car!

I hope you have many happy years with the new baby. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

The chap who I fired off should be from a bygone era . My previous dealings with car main dealers were all BMW, the local BM dealer (to where I now live) were really good, having read some of the posts on here of LRdealer attitudes I was fearing the worst, enforced by my first experience. LR Ludlow have been as they should.I'm quite impressed so far.

I'm getting quite giddy about picking it up First time FFRR owner

Many years ago I once went to a Volvo dealers to look at a V70. Was weekend so in jeans and trainers. Nobody seemed interested….

Walked out, got in my BMW 7 Series and the sales guy chased me up the car park to talk…..

I'm sure they have plenty @jaygee, I have always treated them as I would like to be treated, firm but fair. I rocked up for this purchase in my father's very old and scruffy Honda Jazz so it would have been easy for them to lapse into an apathetic approach. I've been very impressed so far. First time FFRR owner

I go in my Defender, for some reason, if you drive one, people assume you ‘know’ about cars.

Quite right too. The richest person I've ever worked with - HNW three commas individual - was, in 2016, driving around in a 1989 Volvo 240 GLT and tended to be dressed outside of work in pretty tatty jeans and t-shirt; he had many stories of pre-judgement on the part of car salespeople.

He also had an extensive collection of high-end Porsches, Ferraris, and others including an original Le Mans Bentley blower.
