I am reasonably sure that the 2006 does an aux in port. Mine is at the back of the centre console, facing the rear passengers. |

You don’t lose anything. It parallels the existing system and it’s a piece of cake to install. If you don’t have AUX that would be a problem. If you don't have AUX, it is possible, and there is an Android system out there, but it's quite a difficult job I understand.

You should have an Aux port behind the centre console. All you’ll need to use it is a male 3.5mm cable. I bought a male to male 3.5mm cable and a cheap Bluetooth receiver from Amazon. When I switch that on it adds Bluetooth streaming to the car for less than 20 quid.
