Hi all,

I have the warning that the spare wheel is low on pressure. It’s full size with the sensor etc.
I checked the pressure and it’s about 37PSI. I topped it up to 40PSI but still getting the error after 3 days or so. Any ideas?? 2019 L405 SV Autobiography

I get that at start up once started it's started, it disappears.

Yeah that’s what mine does. On for about a minute. Car is a 2020 so main batt should be fine. Did over 600 miles driving and still does it 2019 L405 SV Autobiography

The spare should be inflated to 'high load' pressure, it's checked every 13 hours so it can take a while for everything to settle down.

Any idea what’s the higher load pressure? I guesss that’s 13 hours in total, not 13 hours complete driving? 2019 L405 SV Autobiography

my spare is at 40psi and the tpms reads it with no low pressure warnings.

i suggest taking the spare out for a few journeys and then replace it back..this could reboot the system.. ... - .- -.

44 or 46psi depending on wheel size.

46 is what mine is at, based on the logic that I can carry a pressure gauge & can therefore reduce to the required pressure.

IIRC it's 13 hours in total, the pressure needs to be high enough to be over the 'reinflated' threshold so above 42psi should clear the warning - but it may take up to 13 hours for the warning to disappear, depending upon how long ago the last check was made, if you have access to a TPMS diag. tool, you can trigger the sensors to force an update. That's how we used to do it if the spare had a puncture repair or replacement tyre fitted.

I have the same issue, but only since we had that cold snap. Another chore for the weekend; getting a forecourt airline up and into the wheel well is a right PITA though! Might treat myself to one of those inflators from Halfrauds as the Mini needs regular top ups on its run flats, so would be useful to have anyway.

If you have any 18v power tools, then the corresponding inflator is worth a look.

I have the same DeWalt one and like it. One of the selling points for me was that you set the pressure and then it shuts off once the desired pressure is reached. I wish it could also deflate to a set pressure.

I don't have DeWalt batteries, but bought an adapter for Makita/DeWalt on the internet since I have Makita batteries. This adapter is not officially recommended but it works. Before getting that adapter I used the 12V wire to connect to the cigarette 12V outlet in the car and this was cumbersome and also required having the car running. L405 2016 - Supercharged V6 petrol 380hp
