I think I know what you are getting at, the wire coming from the plug in the spare wheel does not match the colour code for the towing plug 13-pin socket, the JLR socket is sealed against water ingress which makes it difficult to track where they go, I did pull it apart about 3 years ago but made no notes. |

I can confirm the 2010 onwards plug in the wheel well is plug and play with the tow bar wiring, although I believe this only to be for a 7pin connection. Not a problem for me as I only tow a trailer, rather than a caravan for example. |

(In reference to 2010-2012 cars) The car can be programmed for a 13 pin loom or 7 pin. By default, it is set up as 7 pin. It can be changed to 13 pin in the CCF files. I have 13 pin electrics fitted and 13 pin programmed to the CCF. I guess balloonengineer has an old loom they're trying to retrofit to the newer model? 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Mine had the two 7 pin sockets, I changed it to 13 pin and wrote the table above. BMW i3 Electric Car
