Nothing to do with me, but I’m of an age that one of these makes me go weak at the knees 🤣

my mate bought a mk2 cortina two door, in bright red, with a Starsky and Hutch white sprayed flash along the side, and over the roof! this was in around 1982... it also had deep fur along the dashboard, and those little dangly fabric knot things you got around the bottom of lampshades, hanging off the sunvisors, and lower dash. we quickly dispensed with all the inside stuff, but had to hand t-cut the white flash off, and it took forever. and the wolfrace wheels were like those on this car too.

Cool. Wish I had the spare money to buy it and enjoy it. Way cheaper than a General Lee 😱🤣.

I’m following the chap on Facebook who owns and has fully restored the Consul used on The Sweeney.

I love these old TV cars too. It's fab that the original Sweeney Granada (Consul) is still about, I'd not heard of that. I used to have loads of MK1 Grandads in the 80s and 90s. Loved them!

Nice one. If you want to see more of The Sweeneys Consul, search FB for Mr Shifters Consul.
