4.4 SDV8 Oil Filters

Hello people, I've just bit the bullet and bought some Smith and Allen oil and a Draper vaccuum pump to do an interim oil change at the end of this month.
I've just seen a Rimmer Bros site selling OEM filters for this..
Does anybody have any recommends/ bad experiences they'd be prepared to share..?

I'm a noobie and have only done about 2.5k since April, but I'm quite aware of the dreaded oil dilution on these engines, so am doing a change every 6 months.

Am I mad..?

The OEM filter is a Mahle OX153/7D2.

I bought some on Amazon recently - only £6.68 each.... https://amzn.eu/d/fcgWYgC

If you're sucking out, it's the easiest and quickest oil change you'll ever do.

Personally, I use a £10 electric pump to do mine. Sucks all 9.4 litres out in a couple of minutes...

Thanks for this knwatkins, very helpful..
Yes, I ordered an OEM from Rimmers, and it cost much more than the Amazon example youve shown me.. In the future I'll stick to Amazon.
Looking forward to a relatively simple oil change..! MY17 VSE FF Corris
