I decided to get a 32GB mem key and fill it with MP3 files, and leave this permanently connected in the car.

I'm with Andy on this theory, 32Gb is big for an ageing system to cope with.... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey |

I had the same concern, hence checking it would function with a few tracks before the mass conversion

Gerry, rather than waiting for an official answer from Land Rover perhaps you can experiment with 8gb , 16gb memory stick and tell us all which is the largest one that will actually work correctly Andy. 2015 L405 SDV8 Autobiography, Indus Silver with Black Pack. Ok. It will read a 16GB card with approx 12GB of data. These mp3 files are structured as per original post

Also, try to keep the number of files in each folder to a minimum.

Hi Gerry, thank you for your experimental efforts I think, in conclusion we can say that the USB connection in a 2010MY onwards will work with a maximum 16GB memory stick Cheers, Andy. 2015 L405 SDV8 Autobiography, Indus Silver with Black Pack. I've had similar issues with large capacity SD cards of 32MB. They are supposed to work in my laptop and camcorder, but for some reason, even when they are empty, can't be read or identified. Discovery 4 HSE
