4.4TDV8 "CNG" conversion - thoughts?

Saw this Westminster 4.4TDV8 with a "CNG" conversion
So many questions in my mind;
-Is CNG different to LPG
-Didn't know diesels could be converted
-Is if for sale because it's problematic

Obvs straight on fullfatrr then google

First question to myself Google says:

CNG and LPG fuel also have both similarities and differences. While CNG is comprised of methane, LPG is comprised of propane and butane. CNG is typically used as a substitute for gasoline in automobiles, while LPG is often used in the industrial, refrigeration, agricultural and catering industries.30 Jan 2020

CNG and LPG are very different fuels. LPG has low methane number which means it is easy to occur preignition / knock combustion. with high compression turbocharged, high efficiency engine is quite difficult to control afr with lpg in compare to cng.
Of course you can find both solutions on diesel engines. Converion diesel to diesle+gas has only sense with long stable motorway trips because the way how it works.

Gas conversion of diesel engines offers some advantages, generally a 25% increase in torque!

How does it ignite? that puzzled me for a while, the solution is simple. The diesel injection pump injects a small amount of diesel (typically idle), the diesel ignited by the compression fires the gas be it LPG or CNG. BMW i3 Electric Car
