Fault code

Hi all,

Recently left the lights on and battery became low and on starting threw up “Engine management light” and a load of faults, took to have a diagnostic check and had all but 2 codes checked/removed,

P138F-21 - Turbocharger boost control position sensor B minimum/ maximum stop performance. (intermittent)
P132E-22 - Turbocharger/Supercharger boost control B performance, (intermittent),

EML cleared but has re- appeared and engine feels “lack lustre”

Sounds frightening to me with little knowledge and the garage I took it to are now on holidays

Any advice / help appreciated , I’ve had a search but not a lot came up for me

Thanks in advance

John

Before you do anything you need good battery voltage....low battery voltage will produce all sort of gremlins Shocked 2003 RR L322 4.4 ltr Auto Zambezi silver Custom paint

Looks like the turbo has lost it's end-stop position recognition due to low voltage on cranking.
Try this:-
Charge the battery overnight
Disconnect the battery -ve (making sure the keys are out of the vehicle and all the doors are closed and have been for >10mins)
Leave well alone for ~30mins
Reconnect the battery -ve in a 'definite movement' so as to prevent or minimise any contact arcing.
Turn on the ignition, let everything stabilise for 10-15 seconds, then start the engine.
Turn off, clear DTC's then test drive.

I doubt there's any hardware fault, it's possible you might need the turbo position to be calibrated but a battery disconnect / reconnect will usually clear things down.
