2012 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Timer for climatization: it is a possible upgrade?

It is not equipped with the heating scheduling function. I would like to upgrade but first I would like to know what parts I need to install and how to update the software to have the function on the touchscreen. Could anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Hi Eddy,

If its like the D4 they all came with the FBH (fuel burning heater) but they charged it as an extra to actually turn it on.

I turned mine on using the IID tool from GAP. No hardware needed to get the functionality within the car. It can then be timed from the main screen....had mine on this morning as I had an early leave!

If you want the remote control that can be added but requires hardware.

Aux Heater is equal to Yes
Park Heater is equal to Yes
IIDTool Menu->Car Config->ACM Audio Control Module->

Park Heater is equal to Yes
Auxiliary heater is equal to Yes

I couldn't resist ... I activated the parking heater menus from gap and voilà programmable ventilation appeared on the screen! Fantastic!!!
I managed to start the webasto and the ventilation in the passenger compartment.
One question: are we sure that the water heated by the webasto only goes into the passenger compartment and not into the engine?

The Webasto also cycles the engine coolant when temperatures are near 0C or below.

Take a look at the forum - there is a guy on here who wired a Bluetooth/wifi switch to allow him to turn on the heater from his phone, to warm up the car in the morning. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Great eddy …. Glad it worked.

It’s a great bit of kit, LR charge a fortune to turn this on and it’s simple to do. As Gary mentions… lots of clever options can be added to give you full remote access now you have turned it on successfully.

If there are the right modules already in the car, as there are in the MY2010 and up, there is also the option to buy a key fob.

I’ve just been through a lot of faffing about to get the correct combination of module and fob. Thankfully it now all works perfectly ( and just in time for winter ). I may post a thread on what I found worked if that doesn’t duplicate any current threads on here.

Note; if you do this I’d suggest using better quality crimped connectors and professional quality crimping tools. TDV8 4.4 2012

Heatshrink solder connectors are the one! Waterproof, glue to the sheaths and zero chance of disconnection. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
