I stripped mine down cleaned and greased it put it back in and resolved the problem I did buy another eventually and kept my refurbed one as a spare. Don’t think it should click without the motor in place but I am no expert and never tried mine without the motor. It’s just the gears jammed up inside the casing mine was full of fluff and gunk. |

What about a bit of thread resurrection?! Started happening to mine - took that little motor/gearbox out - still clicking in same region. Any ideas collective wisdom lenders?! 2007 Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TDV8 |

I’m about to look at mine tomorrow as it’s not letting any heat into the car and clicking, I’m hoping it’s this and that it will fix the issues. I have got a friend that has one that I can try but I will try and clean it out and check first then post any news. _____________________________________________________

Ordered the water valves and solenoid for under the bonnet, hot pipe in but cold coming out so looks like it’s that, just over 20quid on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363867063367?mk...media=COPY _____________________________________________________
