I had these on the Autobiography and really liked them so thought I would get a set for the Vogue SE but then I saw the price...

So I thought I would have a go at making some....

I commissioned some domed stickers in the correct size and stuck them on.... well nearly but it's never that easy...!!

They certainly look smart Pete, but I am not sure how tough they will be, especially on the drivers door..

Mike, I thought they might do that but they are below the level of the door card so they won't get knocked off, more like pushed on if you lean on them...

The glue is pretty strong so I think they will be OK, I had one of the same make stickers on fatty offroaders key and it stayed on knocking about in my pocket for years....  Pete

I ordered some of the badges when they were considerably cheaper, not realising the door card is different. Went to powerfuluk to ask if they'd sell the neoprene washers that they supply as the backing pieces separately.

No, was the answer. We want to sell the complete set (with our markup added on)

OK, I'll never buy anything from you was what I said to myself.

The black badges are about £12 ea. (EKA000010PVA) they'd probably look better than the original Ivory ones as a backing - which are a fair bit more TBH!

I had some green/gold ones made up, after grinding and polishing the original badges flat, I tried one on the light backing, which didn't look 'right' to me so I used a black sharpie, which looked like someone had coloured the edges with a black sharpie....

I happened to have some satin black acrylic paint in a rattle can, so after a spray of adhesion promoter, I gave them (and my thumb) a coat of paint, let them dry thoroughly and applied the stickers. I think they look OK, the black makes them look more 'Land Rover' in my view.

I'm pretty certain I took away more material than you did - or it could just be the darker colour - they look to sit deeper in the door card.

Yeah, I think I prefer the green, especially with the drop shadow, but mine has black badges all over...  Pete

Mine did when I bought it, slowly changing back to the green/gold - keeping the SC grille though!
