Where is the Air Quality Sensor?

I've bought a new Air Quality Sensor from Dan due to the ECU fault "Air quality sensor line fault" message.
And according to this thread http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic28100....ity+sensor
this should be an easy fix. But I can't locate the sensor anywhere in the boot!? I've also removed the front grill, can't find the sensor around there either.

Do I need to remove the front lights? Or remove the radiator? Or?

This is a 2007 TDV8 Vogue SE.

According to the workshop manual it should be at the left somewhere (seen from the front), that means it could be at the right for a left hand wheeled (european) ffrr. But I can't locate it....

On the left of the radiator at the top on the plastic cowl (as you look into the engine bay) there is the first connector, this is for the electronic side of the viscous fan.
The connector and the air quality sensor is underneath that.
It might be on the right for left-hand drive vehicles, not sure.

Thanks Steve, I used your description and - Eureka, I found it! On the left hand side seen from the front to the engine bay even for a left hand wheeled car. Not that easy accessible with my large hands, though, but I'll manage to replace this. Thanks again!

I did the same replacement today, and while there isn’t a load of space, taking the right air box out (as facing at the bonnet) and taking off the air pipe nut (see photo) was enough to get an arm in.

Slight technicality here though that David, your car is a 4.4 TDV8, where indeed the sensor is on the back of the radiator housing.

However, the question was for the 3.6 TDV8. I think the part is the same but access to will obviously be different because the engine is different.

Take a look at this (again on the 4.4 TDV8) to give you an idea of the location and what you're looking for. I think this is the part you're referring to. On the 4.4 TDV8 it's off-centre towards the nearside of the back of the radiator housing.
