Key fob battery

Hi all,
Had to replace the battery in the key the other week as it came up in the dash.
I am still getting the low battery in key message when I put the key in and out and its starting to drive me cookoo.
Tried the iid tool to get rid of it,but that didnt help.
Any hints as to how to get rid of message would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I agree with Stan. I had a duff, still in date Duracell so it's worth trying another battery.

Thanks Stan & Duff.
I,ll buy another battery tomorrow and try that.
I did check the use-by date and if I remember it was 2028,so they were pretty new.
Shall report back after I change it again.

Think I used Panasonic when I had my TD6. Seems you need a decent brand or they don’t work so well.

I don’t think the message clears off the dash straight away, but shouldn’t take that long.

On the subject of keyfobs... I wondered why it said "auto" on the back? Tym

If it sticks, force it. If it breaks, it needs replacing anyway.
