Had another great day out at Glen Strathfarrar in the fatty. Some great gentle off roading tracks along the way.

Got back from the Highlands yesterday and the missus did most of the driving back while i was watching the F1 on my phone. She absolutely loved the drive and didn't feel tired at all. Did 2300 miles in total and it never let me down, no bongs or bangs and 4 fill ups of diesel with still a shy over half a tank left when we reached home.
The only niggly thing that occurred was some Censored decided to let my tyres down while parked up in the parking field while watching the Highland games. I think they was disturbed as 3 was only half let down. I know they was inflated as i checked them before i left the cabin to drive the 3 miles to the games. Fortunately there was a petrol station right next door to pump them back up. I could have used the plug-in inflator but there was enough air in the tyres to get me to the garage.
Fantastic holiday and are looking to book up to go again next year in the fatty. It's the only car to go in.

Glad you got to go to a Highland Games , sorry to hear about your tyres, there’s some idiots about these days. Quite tempted to go up again but without my son as co driver it’s putting me off and Mrs S isn’t keen on driving, we are on the East Sussex coast. Would I take the rangie? Probably not , too expensive these days. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch

Glad you had a good trip Barmy. It's a lovely part of the world up there.

Bloody annoying on the tyres though, I wonder if it was a tree hugger protesting at you having a Range Rover. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Hey John had a cracking time at the games, 4 world records broken by Steve Hutchinson from the USA. Shame you can't get up there though. An extra 3.5 hours from down your way and a lot more expensive with the price of fuel these days. There's no other car to do it in than the fatty.

I'm thinking that myself dhallworth, strange how mine was only one targeted and the only range rover in the park. But it didn't spoil the holiday or the day. But had a fantastic holiday and going again next year. Highly recommend anyone to holiday there.

Going up to the Highlands again in June just me and the girlfriend for 7 nights. Going to book the steam train trip from fort Augustus to mallaig this time nice and early so won't get disappointed this time.
Staying at a lovely log cabin just around the corner from Glenn Affric this time. Looking so forward to it and doing it in the fatty.

On Thursday I will be heading to the Highlands for 7 nights on holiday in the fatty. Me and my g/f are so looking forward to the drive up and exploring what the Highlands has to offer. Definitely going to the Isle of Skye, will be avoiding the nc500 at all costs as heard it's still just as bad with motorhomes. Will take some pics of the fatty. A well deserved and much needed holiday it will be. And the weather is supposed to be hot hot hot. If anybody local about fancy meeting up for a coffee, then please do.

Define 'local' and 'Highlands' please? It's quite a large area Laughing

Yes very warm and very dry at present, keeping the midges away so far!

Have a great trip.

Had an amazing drive along the A87 from fort Augustus to the Isle of Skye yesterday. What a stunning view to drive along, just breathtaking. Went to the fairy pools for the day, such a beautiful place to spend the day, the weather was beautiful and sunny.

If you've never been to the fairy pools, I would highly recommend it. It was hot enough to have a swim in the pools.
