Got back from the Highlands yesterday and the missus did most of the driving back while i was watching the F1 on my phone. She absolutely loved the drive and didn't feel tired at all. Did 2300 miles in total and it never let me down, no bongs or bangs and 4 fill ups of diesel with still a shy over half a tank left when we reached home.

Glad you got to go to a Highland Games , sorry to hear about your tyres, there’s some idiots about these days. Quite tempted to go up again but without my son as co driver it’s putting me off and Mrs S isn’t keen on driving, we are on the East Sussex coast. Would I take the rangie? Probably not , too expensive these days. Holland and Holland Range Rover By Overfinch |

Hey John had a cracking time at the games, 4 world records broken by Steve Hutchinson from the USA. Shame you can't get up there though. An extra 3.5 hours from down your way and a lot more expensive with the price of fuel these days. There's no other car to do it in than the fatty.

On Thursday I will be heading to the Highlands for 7 nights on holiday in the fatty. Me and my g/f are so looking forward to the drive up and exploring what the Highlands has to offer. Definitely going to the Isle of Skye, will be avoiding the nc500 at all costs as heard it's still just as bad with motorhomes. Will take some pics of the fatty. A well deserved and much needed holiday it will be. And the weather is supposed to be hot hot hot. If anybody local about fancy meeting up for a coffee, then please do. |

Define 'local' and 'Highlands' please? It's quite a large area

Had an amazing drive along the A87 from fort Augustus to the Isle of Skye yesterday. What a stunning view to drive along, just breathtaking. Went to the fairy pools for the day, such a beautiful place to spend the day, the weather was beautiful and sunny.
