No real suggestions I’m afraid, but the 4x4 info screen will show you what level the height sensors are telling the car.

Have you tried the steering wheel full lock to full lock trick? |

If you jack up the front of the car do the lines on the centre screen move. Presume they are not in line with the rears at mo. |

No idea Kevin and to be honest I'm not going to go into that level of checking, I'm going to leave it to the local indy to sort out next week. But thanks for the suggestion, it may well help someone. I used to love sorting out all my own car problems and when there's no time pressures I still do, but the daily drivers all go to the garage now (except for really minor stuff like interim oil changes).

Had nothing better to do earlier so I thought I'd have another play with the suspension. It was stuck in access mode and when I turned the ignition on I got the 'confirm suspension setting' notice on the dash. Pressed 'normal height' to see what would happen and up it came! Compressor cut out after a short while as it should so I chanced my luck and tried 'off road' height. It's now stuck in off road height with the 'suspension fault' message on the dash (there was no fault message before)! This is weird, but will have to wait to see when Indy can fit the car in to see what the issue is. Drives:

If it won’t come down, it’s normally the exhaust filter on the compressor blocked, so it can’t let the air out.

Well, I thought the same, it’s worth a try. Took the filter off and tried it and all seemed ok, so tried drilling a hole in the end of the of the filter and all still seems to be working ok! Given how this started I would never have thought it could be this that was at fault! Anyway no faults showing on the dash and rise and fall all seem ok now.

No worries mate. I saved myself over £700 doing that a few years ago. No issues since.

Well, the cynic in me was right! Went down as soon as I took it on the road. This time we have the system overheating message, so maybe it’s the compressor after all. I’ll let the garage find out! Drives:

Think there is a service kit for them, new rubber rings and seals etc. See what the garage recommend.
