Firstly sorry for going of radar for the last few days it’s been hectic at work, secondly thank you Craig for your info that’s very reassuring from you and thanks everyone else for there input, on Friday I had a call from the garage the owner is a family freind of the lass who works for me and has a good reputation, he called to say the original tech had got it all wrong (boss no longer on the kit) and the man who specialises in engines told him it wasn’t rings or anything like that but the ticking was coming from the water pump that was on its way out, new water pump going in Monday. Got to say I’m very relieved, looking forward to picking her up Monday I will have a chat about the mis diagnosis but I know he was only going if info told to him at the time 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

Really glad they hadn’t gone any further than they did with the diagnosis! That could have been a very costly mistake! That I’m sure no one would have found once the engine was scrapped!!! 😬🙄😬 |
