The usual culprits are the 4 x short hoses on the inlet manifold or a cracked inlet manifold. Look for sooty deposits around the inlet manfold or get a high pressure smoke test done. BMW i3 Electric Car

There is also how it’s driven. DPF regeneration needs sustained steady road speeds above 50mph so if it’s only been used slowly around town on short trips it will never regenerate and quickly fill up with soot. Also if some of the sensors are faulty it will prevent regeneration so a full diagnostic fault check is needed. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

This slightly hints at a split manifold to me. Did it ping up after you booted it a little? as has been stated you really need to get to what is behind the reduced performance error and get the codes read, or get a code reader (I love the gap one as frequently mentioned here)

If you’re getting the RP message & limp mode, but it clears after you’ve stopped, locked the car & unlocked after a few minutes (as happened to me) try the second turbo actuator rod, through lack of use, this tends to seize up. When you try & hit 2500-3000rpm the second turbo can’t spool up so throws up the dreaded RP message.

Had it decoded this morning and it seems there maybe a an issue on the inlet manifold side of things, as suggested by GaryRR.

Mine had similar symptoms. It was a cracked Pax side inlet manifold. apparently they were too flimsy to take the full boost of the twin turbos and were upgraded later. Make sure you get an upgraded version if you need to change.
