Thought the pitman puller would work for me, so its really the wrong time to find out my hammers are too wimpy. It was going so well as I'd got all the nuts undone ok. |

To be easier on you and your tools you will need this sort of tool for a less painful extraction and also you will need a BFH or a big hammer.

That#'s a little splitter isn't it? Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

I suppose cause we live in different parts of the world it could be called that, but here in Aus we call em a tie rod puller/separator. so yes

Sorry what I mean, is do I need a 35mm or a 45mm?

Kezbo1981 Oh I think you are right ! I wasn't happy with how it was going, so I'll defo try it the other way around. Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

the way I do mine is to slide a big bar in on the side pick up on something and get someone to stand on the bar that is

Alternatively if you cant get the tool in, undo the bolt holding the arm to the subframe and let the arm dangle.

morning chrali i think that might be best the splitter will do the job I would still give that casting a good whack before putting in the splitter. and make sure you put some copper slip on new joint easier next time round new vehicle purchase
